Subject Title: What is The Order?
Why The Order was Formed
1) I have always liked the mysteriousness of The Order. We wanted to create something based upon what we envisioned the descendants of the original Order would be like after years of fighting the Nomads.

Much of the Original Order disbanded leaving only the most devoted members, the Iron Warriors. After years of hiding on Planet Gammu, fighting a covert war against the nomads, giving up their dreams for one thing… the demise of the Nomads, The Order changed. Now they are a near religious sect, hell-bent on ridding the humans of alien influence. |
2) Provide a different type of role-play to Asgard. I was tired of being a simple pirate (and a mercenary on my alt), and being a cop/trader really didn’t appeal to me. I assumed that others felt the same, and would leave if they didn’t have another option available to them.
3) Provide a faction that isn’t aligned to either side (lawful/unlawful), this gives us more role-play opportunities and can make, and can hopefully address server balance issues with they arrive.
4) Make the static role-play on the server more dynamic. For example, does the commander of the LPD really want to make The Order KOS/banned from Liberty space, when The Order could one day save their lone pilot from being pounded by a horde of enemies. IMHO it makes it a bit more realistic, the faction leaders must weigh it all out, and decide for themselves, this is a pure attempt at making things less black and white, lawful and unlawful, and hopefully more interesting for the server.
What are the roleplay(s) of The Order
Alien Collaborator RP
You could basically sum up The Order by this, a group of guys who remained hidden on Gammu after the first Nomad War, after fighting for many years, they became a bit resentful of all aliens. To them all alien influence has been bad for the human race, they don’t like the aliens, and want them gone. The DK created the Nomads, the Nomads are humanity’s biggest threat. They recognize that the DK want to correct their mistake, but The Order blames the DK because the Nomads were the “dog who got off the owners leash”. Therefore, The Order doesn’t blatantly attack DK ships, BUT they do despise all humans who mingle with the DK, and call them “alien collaborators” and “species traitors” (The Order even more hostile obviously when a person mingles with the Nomads).
Manifest Destiny/Darwinism RP
The Order wants humanity to advance, hopefully one day become strong enough to destroy the Nomads once and for all, and be strong enough to become the sole rulers of the galaxy. The Order has determined that through warfare the human race makes the largest advancements. Therefore, The Order does what it can to ensure all wars are equal, to ensure the longevity of the struggle, where only the strongest pilots/warriors survive and the weak perish (and not the side with the numerical advantage).
Inquisition(s)
Most all of these role-plays will be planned and organized on “paper” then submitted to other factions we want to do that role-play with. At this time we are doing one with The Organization, but due to the imminent release of V4, we are doing it in sole on FP11. If you haven’t read it yet, I highly recommend you do so. The general premise of these types of role-plays are to actually role-play The Order searching for the people willing to live as slaves of the Nomads, than be potentially destroyed. We basically hear a rumor, and send an Inquisitor to investigate.
I have come up with an RP template and handed it to Rathar, he will be using it to assist him in the organization of role-plays, those who have seen it believe that it will help clear up the questions involved in planning organized role-plays and hopefully make it easier and more fun.
Synopsis
This is the main overview of the major role-plays that The Order is using. Hopefully it will give you a better understanding on what we are trying to do. I admit it is a bit different than the vanilla, but it is what we envisioned a fanactical, battle hardened sect of the “vanilla” Order would act like after many, many years of sacrifice and hardship. Hopefully it will make the server more 3-dimensional. I understand that there is a possibility that The Order will be KOS to all (I’d certainly hope not, because we really didn’t intend on being a PvP based faction), but never the less we will still proceed onward with our day to day role-play. BUT I expect a certain amount of willingness to participate in our organized role-plays when we approach (regardless the current political climate). Hopefully this has helped a lot of people, and if you have any questions contact me.
