The Background and roots of the [Order]
After the end of the Nomad War, many of the covert operators in The Order were exposed due to their efforts in thwarting the Nomad Threat. The Nomads were thought to be defeated and with the return of the Don’Kavosh much of The Order was disbanded. Only one chapter remained active, they were known as the Chapter of the Iron Warriors.
The Iron Warriors remained on Planet Gammu. During the war with the Nomads, subterranean bases were built below the surface of Gammu. Here the Iron Warriors kept silent vigil watching the Nomad Threat, doing everything imaginable to remain invisible to the humans and the Don’Kavosh. It has long been the speculation of many about the purpose of the Robots on Planet Gammu. But unbeknownst to anyone, the Robots served the Iron Warriors in silence, running the supply depots and manufacturing the equipment required to keep the Iron Warriors alive.
Among the remaining members of The Order, the Iron Warriors selected covert operatives and instructed them to report the any occurrences in the human sectors. Among them was Forsaken. Forsaken joined the Cutthroat Pirates and soon became a notorious pirate therefore solidifying his “cover”. Forsaken and the other agents reported their findings while the Iron Warriors continued their covert battle against the Nomads.
Living in a monk like existence, the Iron Warriors philosophies and beliefs changed. They realized that the human race was unable to totally annihilate the Nomad Threat at this time. But the reports from their covert agents led them to believe that the humans were getting better at waging war. The invention of new technologies and star craft was improving their ability at surviving conflicts. Many human pilots were increasing in their skill. And reports of lone humans killing elite Nomads were filtering into the leaders of the Iron Warriors. The high council discussed the reports and debated among themselves. Had they found the solution to the Nomad Threat? Was it sitting under their nose the whole time? Were they to one day be liberated from their eternal duty of keeping humanity safe from the Nomads?
After much study and deliberation the leaders of the Iron Warriors decided that the only way for humanity to stop the Nomad Threat was only through fighting among themselves. They realized that through warfare, humanity made its biggest advancements. The human race was hardier, the technology improved, and great warriors were born. Through war humans would eventually become strong enough to face the Nomad Threat and take the war to the Nomads such as Trent did in the first Nomad War.
Thus came the motto of the Iron Warriors…
The Strong Survive... The Weak Perish
